As it turns out, quite a lot. Because, while Dubai has accepted coffee cultures from Italy, Australia, Ethiopia, Colombia and Japan, one of the world's most passionate coffee traditions has remained almost completely unrepresented: Vietnam.

This is a milestone, not a marketing claim. Ca Phin Coffee Supply is the Middle East's first Vietnamese specialty coffee shop, created from the ground up to bring the rich, bold, and deeply cultural tradition of Vietnamese coffee to the United Arab Emirates.

Founded by Tobi Vu and Teena Mathew, the idea was born over a cup of coffee in Dubai as many great ideas are. Prior to launching, the two spent 10 months researching, traveling to Vietnam's Central Highlands, visiting farmers, learning the skill, and conducting roasting trials. A spreadsheet was not used to create this business strategy. It was built from a genuine love of Vietnamese coffee and a desire to share it with the world.

That passion is infused into every bag we offer.

Our Beans Come Straight from Vietnam's Central Highlands

Most coffee brands operating in the UAE source from brokers or commodity suppliers. We do not.

Ca Phin uses 100% Vietnamese coffee beans, including Fine Robusta and Single Origin Arabica, purchased directly from smallholder farms in Vietnam's Central Highlands. These are genuine ties with farmers who are passionate about their work and dedicated to quality.

This direct-trade approach serves two objectives. First, it maintains freshness and traceability - you'll know exactly where your coffee came from. Second, it dispels a long-held misconception: that Vietnamese coffee is low-quality, commercial, or synonymous with cheap instant blends.

It is not. Vietnamese Robusta, cultivated at altitude and handled with care, is robust, complex, and full of flavor. Our Fine Robusta has notes that match any specialty-grade bean on the market. And our Single Origin Arabica from Vietnam is something most UAE coffee drinkers have never had before.

While the beans are sourced from Vietnam, they are roasted locally in the UAE.

This is important since freshness has a significant impact on coffee quality. Locally roasted beans provide superior aroma, flavor clarity, and overall cup quality than coffee that spends months in transit after roasting.

This might be the most important differentiator of all.
